Aachari Amrood


Recipe Serves 2-3

Oil: 2 Tbsp

Rai: 1 Tsp

Jeera: 1 Tsp

Kalonji: 1 Tsp

Saunf: 1.5 Tsp

Methi Dana: 3/4 Tsp

Onions: 1 Medium

Ginger Garlic Paste: 1-2 Tsp

Green Chilies: 2-3

Haldi: 1 Tsp

Garam Masala Powder: 1 Tsp

Tomato Sauce: 1 Tsp

Amrood: 400 Gms

Salt: To Taste

Lime Juice: 2-3 Tsp

Hara Dhania: Handful

Red Chili Powder: 1 Tsp


1 Heat oil, add aachar spices, then add sliced onions, ginger garlic paste and chopped chilies.

2 Saute the onions, add haldi, garam masala powder and tomato sauce.

3 Saute for 1 minute and add long strips of amrood, salt, lime juice and chopped hara dhania.

4 Toss to coat all the masalas all over the amrood pieces, cook covered for about a minute if you want soft pieces, dish out and garnish with a sprinkling of red chili powder and hara dhania.
