Chicken Aur Pyaz Pakodas


Recipe Serves 2-3

Chicken Breast: 250 Gms

Onions: 2 Medium Ajwain: 3/4 Tsp

Jeera: 1 Tsp

Haldi: 1/2 Tsp

Red Chili Powder: 1 Tsp

Salt: To Taste

Lemon Juice: 1/2 Tsp

Curry Leaves: Few

Green Chili: 2-3

Hara Dhania: 1/3 Cup

Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 Tsp

Besan: 5-6 Tbsp

Cornflour: 2-3 Tbso

Semolina: 2 Tbsp

Water: As Required

Oil: For Frying

Chaat Masala: 1 Tsp

Green Chutney

Imli Chutney

Tomato Sauce


1 Cut thin strips of boneless chicken.

2 Cut onions into thin slices and chop chilies.

3 In a mixing bowl add the chicken, onions, green chilies, ajwain jeera, , haldi, red chili powder, salt, hara dhania, curry leaves, lime juice and ginger garlic paste, mix and leave aside for 15 minutes for flavors to develop.

4 Then add besan, corn flour and semolina. Mix, sprinkle some water if required and deep fry small pieces of chicken mixture in medium hot oil till golden and crisp.

5 Sprinkle little chaat masala on the pakodas and serve hot and crispy pakodas with green chutney or mayonnaise, or imli chutney or tomato sauce.
